About the Speaker - Myra Capri Herring

Myra Capri Herring is the founder and CEO of Capri Brand, LLC, a personal branding company, for professional women who want to project a more powerful image and presence, based in Atlanta.

After graduating from Spelman College in Atlanta, Myra spent 10 years as a technology consultant where she noticed women’s careers being negatively impacted by their lack of understanding of the importance of their image and presence. As a result, Myra started Capri Brand with an aim to help women polish their personal and professional brand through image consulting and personal development coaching.

In addition to Capri Brand, Myra works as the Director of Events and Programming for the IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF), a non-profit organization focused on the representation of black professionals at senior levels in technology through enrichment of their mind, body and soul.

Myra is a native of Roanoke, Virginia, came to Atlanta by way of Spelman College in 2001. Myra earned her MBA degree from Emory Goizueta Business School in 2018. She married a native Atlantan and has made Atlanta home.

Myra is a Board member and Secretary of 10 years for the Metro Atlanta Leadership Foundation non-profit organization. She enjoys spending time with her family who has relocated to Atlanta, being a Big Sister to Destiny (10 years in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program), developing personal development content for women, and taking advantage of any outdoor activities or live music concerts whenever she can (pre-COVID19, of course).
